Most VC tools answer the wrong question.

The right question isn’t “tell me everything about this deck.” It’s “is this worth my next 20 minutes?” DealFilter is built around that distinction.

The premise

Every partner we know spends an hour every morning reading inbound. The deals that match their thesis get the same five minutes as the ones that don’t. We built DealFilter to fix that.

What we made different

Calibrated to your thesis.

Not a generic VC rubric. Every pitch is scored against the deals you actually funded and the ones you passed on — weighted to how your firm underwrites.

Confidence intervals on every claim.

When the deck is thin or the market is novel, DealFilter says so — and tells you which datapoint would tighten the call. A Low confidence rating is a feature, not a failure.

Editorial voice, not chatbot voice.

Scout reads like a junior partner who’s done the homework. Short sentences. Specifics. Plain English where the model is confident; explicit hedging where it isn’t.
